1)Students will come prepared for their lessons at all times.
2)Students can come 5 mins before their lesson starts and wait in the designated waiting area. Students will always come prepared with a pencil, eraser and their piano books. Late lessons will be forfeited after 10 minutes past the scheduled lesson time.
3)All students are encouraged to practice each day, following and according to the teacher’s suggested guideline throughout the academic year.
4)If a student is sick or away, they must let the teacher know at least 24 hours in advance. Anything before the 24 hour notice will be considered as canceled and will not be rescheduled or refunded.
5)Rescheduling of lessons/granted make-up lesson can only be allowed maximum 2 times during each academic term. All inquiries for rescheduling of lessons due to personal reasons or holidays must be notified to the teacher at least 2 weeks in advance.
6)In-person/hybrid combination-If a student is sick but is still willing to take their lesson on the scheduled time, they can let the teacher know at least 24 hours in advance and the lesson will take place online instead for that allocated session. Any notice within 24 hour notice will not be considered and will be canceled if the student cannot make it.
7)Any emergency contact must be made by email or text only. No phone calls will be answered during teaching hours.
8)Lesson rates are based on 50 minutes and students must sign up for weekly lessons according to the academic calendar.
9)When a student wishes to sign up for RCM exams or competitions, students may be advised to take extra lessons closer to the exam dates. (Please see the tuition & fees section for more details).
10)If a student is away for their vacation, make-up lessons must be made before the term ends. It is up to the student to ask the teacher for their rescheduling of lesson, and once reschedule is made, it cannot be changed or rescheduled again. Maximum 2 make-up lessons/rescheduling will be granted throughout the academic term.
11)Students’ parents must read and follow the teacher’s comment/feedback every week after each lesson, and support and guide their children as best as they can to get the best results of their lessons.
12)Parents must contact the teacher via email in case of setting up a meeting, all meetings are subject to the teacher’s availability and schedule each time.
13)All students are encouraged to play and do their best in preparation and performing of student recitals each year (Two recitals per academic year).
14)Media use-Students may be recorded or taken pictures during their lesson times or in their performances which may be used in conference presentations and/or for marketing purposes on the website and social media. If you would like your child to be excluded from this, please let me know via email at the beginning of the academic year.
15)Students and parents must read and agree to the terms and conditions outlined in the policy before registration.
